FIMA - IMASA
March 07, 2010
About the same time last year, 15th March 2009 to be exact, I penned a note in your souvenir program as president. Again through "vodoo powers of persuasion", Ashraf has mesmerised me into doing it once again, on behalf of our president Dr. Parvaiz, who is presently doing some surgical relief work in Sudan. Yet another of FIMA’s pioneering charitable ventures in humanitarian relief in North Africa.
This is back to back to his direct involvement in the IMANA-FIMA relief works in Haiti. Our colleagues in IMANA has credibly coalesced the resources from the universal fraternity of FIMA, via close liaison with our FIMA Relief maestro in Capetown to endow some Islamic presence in earthquake stricken Haiti.
This is truly the blessings of the universal brotherhood of FIMA. I however cannot overemphasise our continued presence in Palestine, to free Palestine and to end the occupation by Apartheid Israel. I think the citizenry of South Africa, notably IMASA, can identify passionately with this legitimate cause.
I would encourage IMASA to be part of the band wagon of Viva Palestina to consolidate our "Free Palestine, End The Occupation" call to mainstream the Palestinian cause and to direct global attention to the horrendous crimes of Israel and to inspire public opinion to demand an end to the siege.
Apart from your other impressive agenda in "Health Is Our Amaanah" conference, I hope this clarion call will continue to be highlighted in your meeting of minds, body and soul.
May the blessings of Allah SWT bountifully descend upon the men, women and children in Somerset West, Capetown on the occasion of the 30th Annual Convention of IMASA.
Humbly yours,
Musa Mohd. Nordin
Immediate Past-President, FIMA
